Product Recall & Safety Policy
Effective: September 25, 2026
Purpose
This policy describes how safety holds and recalls are initiated, controlled, and recorded on the Sentrick Metals & Minerals marketplace, and where responsibility for regulatory action sits. Material quality is paramount and time-sensitive.
Supplier obligations
The supplier of a product is responsible for its safety, for compliance with recall and reporting laws, and for notifying affected buyers and the relevant authorities. Suppliers must promptly inform Sentrick of any recall, market withdrawal, safety defect, contamination, or regulatory action affecting products offered through the marketplace.
Safety holds and dual control
Sentrick may place a safety hold that pauses listing, ordering, or fulfillment for affected products. Initiating and releasing a hold or recall status on the platform is dual-controlled and logged, so that safety-critical state changes are deliberate, attributable, and auditable.
Buyer actions
Buyers must act on recall and safety notices without delay, including quarantining affected inventory, ceasing resale, and following supplier and regulatory instructions. Buyers remain responsible for their own downstream notifications and compliance.
Records and role
Recall and safety-hold events, notices, and state changes are preserved as immutable commercial history for audit. Sentrick facilitates communication and record-keeping but is not the manufacturer, importer of record, or regulator, and does not assume the supplier's legal responsibility for the product.
