Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy
Effective: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Purpose
This policy identifies categories of products that may not be listed or transacted on the Sentrick Metals & Minerals marketplace, or that require enhanced review, and how violations are handled. It supports lawful, safe trade and complements each supplier's independent obligation to comply with all applicable laws.
Materials requiring enhanced review, permits, restriction, or exclusion
Depending on the material and the jurisdictions involved, the following may require enhanced review, permits, restrictions, or exclusion: radioactive materials and nuclear-related materials; mercury and certain toxic substances; asbestos and materials containing asbestos; hazardous waste, contaminated scrap, and certain battery waste; controlled dual-use materials and restricted technologies; conflict-affected or high-risk minerals requiring additional due diligence; and products with forged, unverifiable, or misleading documentation. A product's appearance in a category does not mean it is authorized for sale. Sentrick may place a product or transaction on hold pending review, and maintains the operative list in an administrative rules table that can be updated without changing historical transaction records.
Prohibited and restricted categories
Prohibited items include, without limitation: products that are unlawful to sell in the applicable jurisdiction; misbranded, adulterated, counterfeit, or falsely graded materials; products lacking required safety, grade, or origin information; recalled or safety-held goods; items violating sanctions, import/export, or age-restriction laws; and any product whose sale requires a license or certification the supplier does not hold. Certain categories may be restricted and permitted only with valid documentation.
Supplier responsibility
Suppliers are solely responsible for the identity, legality, safety, labeling, claims, and regulatory compliance of everything they list. Marketplace qualification and approval do not transfer, dilute, or replace these obligations, and are not an endorsement or certification of a product.
Enforcement
Sentrick may refuse or remove listings, withhold or reverse transactions, place safety holds, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve records, and report unlawful activity. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent removal from the marketplace.
Reporting
Suspected prohibited or unsafe products can be reported to Sentrick for review. Good-faith reports do not affect the reporting party's standing.
